Weather permitting, the contractor will be striping Routes 34 and 51 in Bollinger County at Marble Hill on Monday, July 19. The operation is a moving operation, so no stationary warning signs will be posted.Motorists are urged to use extreme caution around the wet paint, allow the machinery the space needed, stay back 500 feet and use alternate routes where available. In addition to safety issues, we also suggest that motorist do not pass the equipment to avoid getting paint on their vehicles.

Weather permitting, installation of the traffic signals will begin at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13 and will end Friday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m.

Cape Girardeau County
Construction Projects
Apex Paving will begin overlaying the roadway and widening the shoulders on Route W in Cape Girardeau County. Weather permitting, work is expected to begin on Thursday, February 4 and last thru October 2010. This section of roadway is located from LaSalle Avenue to Lexington Avenue.While the work is being performed, there is a potential for traffic to be reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers.
Robertson Contractors plans to start work replacing the White Water Bridge on Route 72 in Cape County. The contractor plans to lay asphalt for the temporary bypass on Monday, August 24.Weather permitting, the plan is to transfer traffic from the existing Route 72 to the temporary bypass sometime between Wednesday, August 26 and Friday, August 28. The bypass will be in place until the permanent bridge can be removed and replaced. New pavement will also be constructed to tie the roadway to the new bridge. Due to the width of the temporary bridge lanes there will be a 10 foot restriction.This section of roadway is located from County Road 350 to County Road 349. The estimated time for this job to be completed in Summer 2010.
Interstate 55 in Cape County will be reduced to one lane with an 11 foot width restriction while contractor crews begin preparation for the new concrete and asphalt paving.The contractor will begin undersealing and paving in the northbound lanes beginning Tuesday, April 20 from 6:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m. daily from Route KK to Route B. They will continue to work on the median and shoulders, south of the Fruitland rest area to Route 61.We anticipate northbound traffic will be diverted to the southbound passing lane during the week of April 26. Starting dates are weather dependant. Traffic will remain head to head until concrete and asphalt paving is complete from north of Route 61(ext 105) to Route B (mile marker 117.4). Work is expected to be complete this fall.
Construction on Route 25, 77 and AB in Cape and Scott Counties at Blomeyer is now underway.Weather permitting, the contractor will be installing a crossroad pipe under Route 77 just south of the Route 25 intersection at Blomeyer. The work will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14 and be completed at 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning, July 15. Traffic will be reduced to one lane while work is being performed.Construction of the roundabout will begin Wednesday, July 21 thru Friday, October 15 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. This construction will reduce traffic to one lane with a 12 foot width restriction on Route 25 from one-half mile east of County Road 245 to the bridge over the Diversion Channel.
Construction on Route 25, 77 and AB continues in Cape and Scott Counties at Blomeyer.Weather permitting, on Monday, July 26 the contractor will reroute traffic on Route 25 near the intersection of Route 77 at Blomeyer onto the temporary bypass. This is being done to facilitate the next phase of the roundabout, which includes removing sections of the existing roadway.

Route E in Cape County will be closed while MoDOT crews replace a pipe under the roadway.The first section of roadway is located between Route D and County Road 451. Weather permitting, the work will take place Monday, August 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The second section of roadway is located between Route D and County Road 427. Weather permitting, the work will take place Tuesday, August 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.The third section of roadway is located between northbound outer road 55 (County Road 433 and County Road 427. Weather permitting, the work will take place Wednesday, August 4 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Route Y in Cape Girardeau County will be closed while MoDOT crews replace a pipe under the roadway.This section of roadway is located from one mile east of Route W to west of County Road 621.Weather permitting, the work will be performed Monday, August 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Dunklin County

Route F- Work to replace the Route F bridge over Drainage Ditch No. 25 in Dunklin County will begin Monday, August 16. During this time, contractors will work to move equipment to the worksite, and motorists should expect temporary lane restrictions. Construction is expected to begin Monday, August 23. As work is underway, the roadway will remain closed from Route AC to Route FF. Completion is anticipated in early October.

Route 164 in Dunklin County will continue to be reduced to one lane with a 11 foot width restriction while MODOT crews perform routine bridge repairs.This section of roadway is located from County Road 723 to County Road 731.
Weather permitting, the work will take place Monday, July 26 and Thursday, July 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.
Route P in Dunklin County will be reduced to one lane with a 11 foot width restriction while MODOT crews perform routine bridge repairs.This section of roadway is located from County Road 509 to County Road 513 (bridge over Kinnamore Ditch).Weather permitting, the work will take place Wednesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.

Madison County

All lanes on Route 67 in Madison County are expected to be opened to traffic, weather permitting, on Monday, May 24 by 4:00 p.m. This will provide a four-lane roadway from Route C at Cherokee Pass to County Road 454 just north of the Madison/Wayne County Line. Traffic will have two lanes south and northbound with median crossovers at sideroads.Work will continue on pavement marking and removal of temporary crossovers. Motorists may expect one-lane work zones at various locations while this work progresses to completion
Route 67 in Madison County will be reduced to one lane with a 16 foot width restriction as construction begins. The contractor will diamond grind the surface of the southbound lanes and resurface the northbound lanes with asphalt. The section of roadway affected is located from the St. Francois/Madison County Line to Route 72 at Fredericktown.
The work began today at 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 28 and will be completed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9.

Route JJ - Work to replace the Route JJ bridge over Government Diversion Ditch in Mississippi County will begin Tuesday, July 6, weather permitting. During construction, the roadway will remain closed from Route 60 to the end of state maintenance. Completion is anticipated in mid August.

Route 114 in Scott and New Madrid Counties will be reduced to one lane with 12 foot width restriction while MODOT crews trim the trees along the roadway.The section of roadway is located between Route BB and Route Z.Weather permitting, work will be performed Thursday, July 29 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pemiscot County
Construction Projects
Southbound Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 11 foot width restriction so the contractor can overlay the roadway.The section of roadway that will be affected is located from one mile north of Route O (2.1 MM) to the Arkansas State Line.Weather permitting, the work will begin 6:00 a.m. Monday, July 26 and is expected to be completed by 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31.
County Road 337 (Future Mo. Route D) in Pemiscot County will be closed to thru traffic while the contractor does construction.The project includes asphalt paving from Route U to Route 84 (3 miles) and the installation of highway lighting at the intersection of Routes 84 and D. Weather permitting, the work will begin Monday, May 10 and is expected to be completed by mid July.
Part of the improvements will occur at the intersection of County Road 337 and County Road 344. The intersection is currently a two-way stop, with County Road 337 traffic yielding to County Road 344 traffic. On Wednesday, July 7 this intersection will be permanently reconfigured to give County Road 337 (the future Route D) traffic priority. The intersection will remain a two-way stop, but County Road 344 traffic will now be required to stop.

This section of roadway is located in the southbound lanes from one mile south of Route A to two miles south of Route 84. Weather permitting, the work will start at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27 and will be completed at approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 30.
Northbound Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 11 foot width restriction so the contractor can overlay the roadway.The section of roadway that will be affected is located from one mile south of Route 84 (MM 18.7) to Route A (MM27.4).Weather permitting, the work will begin 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4 and is expected to be completed by 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30.

Perry County

PCI Roads LLC, the contractor, plans to begin painting the Chester Bridge on Route 51 in Perry County.
Weather permitting, painting on the Mississippi River Bridge east of Chester, Illinois is scheduled to begin Monday, July 5 and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 30. There will be a 10 foot width restriction while the painting operation is taking place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Route W: Work to replace the Route W bridge over Little River Drainage Ditch No. 291 in Scott County is scheduled to begin Monday, July 12, weather permitting. During construction, the roadway will remain closed from Route P to Route CC. Completion is anticipated in late August.
Route ZZ: Work to replace the Route ZZ bridge over Drainage Ditch No. 2 in Scott County is scheduled to begin Monday, July 12, weather permitting. During construction, the roadway will remain closed from Route Z to Route BB. Completion is anticipated in mid September.

Outer Road 60 (County Line Road) in Scott County will be reduced to one lane while MODOT crews perform pavement repairs.The section of roadway is located from Route AA to Ashley Street. Weather permitting, work will be done Wednesday, August 4 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

St. Francois County

Route 8 - As part of the Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program, work on the Route 8 bridge over Big River in St. Francois County will begin Monday, April 26 at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting. As construction is underway, traffic will be reduced to one lane from Harmon Lane to Germania Road with a 10-foot width restriction in place. Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals, and motorists should expect up to 15 minute delays. The Route 8 bridge improvements are expected to be completed in late July.

Ste. Genevieve County
Construction Projects
Route B - Widening and resurfacing work on Route B in Ste. Genevieve County will begin on Monday, March 8 at 6 a.m., weather permitting. During work, Route B will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction from Route 32 to Route F. Work zones will be flagger controlled. This portion of the project is expected to be completed by fall 2010.
Route B in Ste. Genevieve County will be closed to replace a crossroad culvert pipe beneath the roadway.Route B will be closed on Tuesday, July 20 from 4:00a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The road will be closed from Staabtown Road to Route P.Signs and warning devices will be in place. There will not be a marked detour for this short-duration closure. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Stoddard County

Route Y- Work to replace the Route Y bridge over Drainage Ditch No. 1 (Floodway Ditch) in Stoddard County is expected to begin Monday, August 16, weather permitting. The roadway will remain closed from Route AB to Route Z as construction is underway. Completion is anticipated in mid-October.
Route 114 -Work to replace the drainage ditch bridge on Route 114 in Stoddard County was originally expected to be completed in July. However, the opening of the bridge has been delayed due to an error identified in the consultant's design. The bridge will be redesigned and replaced. During this time, the roadway will remain closed from Route KK to Route 25. The new bridge will be open to traffic by the end of the year.
Route E - Work to replace the Route E bridge over Buck Creek in Stoddard County is expected to begin Tuesday, July 6, weather permitting. The roadway will remain closed from Route 25 to Route FF as construction is underway. Completion is anticipated in mid August.

Wayne County
Construction Projects
North and southbound Route 67 will continue to be reduced to one lane. The contractor will be working along the shoulders to do grading and paving to connect median crossover from the new pavement to the existing pavement. Motorist may expect flagger controlled work zones with reduced speeds and an 11 foot width restriction. This section of roadway is located from County Road 401 in Madison County to Route EE in Wayne County.
Drivers on Route 67 should be alert for equipment crossing three miles south of the Madison County line in Wayne County. Motorist may experience traffic stopped intermittently in both directions in the flagger controlled work zone while trucks cross Route 67. The contractor will begin hauling material at the crossing, at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8 thru Friday, August 6. This crossing will be in place 24 hours a day, Monday thru Saturday. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
Route 67 will be restricted to 11 foot in both the northbound and southbound lanes while a contractor extends a box culvert as part of the Route 67 improvements. Weather permitting, the work will begin Thursday, July 29 and continue thru Friday, August 27 during daylight hours. This work zone is located approximately two and a half miles south of the Madison/Wayne county line.
Work to build a portion of the new southbound Route 67 lanes in Wayne County has resulted in closing Route FF. The closure will be located at its intersection with Route 67 and will remain closed thru July 30. Traffic will be detoured onto County Road 221 which will put the traffic back onto Route 67 south.
Route 34/County Road 331: As part of the Route 34 project, the bridge located near County Road 331 will close on Wednesday, June 2, weather permitting. During improvements, Route 34 traffic west of Patterson will be shifted to a temporary bypass. In conjunction with MoDOT’s bridge construction, the Wayne County Highway Department will close County Road 331 to construct a new box culvert. The bridge projects are expected to be completed in July, weather permitting.

Weather permitting, the work will begin Thursday, July 29 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, July 30 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Route 49 in Wayne County will be reduced to one lane while the Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform routine bridge repairs.This section of road is located between County Road 446 and Birch Street (bridge over Black Creek).Weather permitting, the work will be performed Monday, August 2 thru Wednesday, August 4 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.
