Willow Springs, Mo.- The South Central district joined 400 million users on Facebook. In May, Facebook was added to the social media used to communicate transportation related information.
MoDOT will continue to send news to local television stations, newspapers and radio stations and post information on our web page. Facebook is another avenue added to the MoDOT social media network including Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr to provide the information you want.
According to Community Relations Manager Christi Turkleson, "Our customers are using social media for their transportation information. It's important to provide the information you want quickly and conveniently. Roadwork, events and transportation related information is available on our Facebook page. By being our fan you will also have access to Twitter posts, YouTube videos and photos posted on Flickr," stated Turkleson.
