Willow Springs, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be chip sealing routes in Reynolds and Washington Counties next week. Weather permitting, crews and equipment will be on the roadway at the areas listed below between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Reynolds County
Route V, from Route 21 to the end of state maintenance. Scheduled for July 19 - July 20.
Washington County
Route BB, from Route C to the end of state maintenance. Scheduled for July 20.
Route U, from Route 8 to Route M. Scheduled for July 21- July 22.
MoDOT performs chip-seal resurfacing on roads that are in generally fair to better condition. The benefits include crack sealing, increased skid resistance and correction of minor rutting, which extends the life of the pavement in a cost effective way.
While working, flaggers and a pilot car will be used to manage traffic. When motorists travel a newly chip-sealed road marked by "Fresh Oil" and "Loose Gravel" signs, they should keep their speed down and allow plenty of distance between vehicles to prevent small rocks from coming loose and hitting oncoming traffic. Please allow ample driving time to your destination.
We have developed a survey to obtain feedback from motorists about our work zones. Please rate our work zones at: http://www.modot.org/workzones/Comments.htm
